Pros
- Free Flights to West Coast Hubs SFO, SAN, LAX, and SEA and than to any other place that Alaska Flies. - Part Time Union Protected Position - Solid training program where the company will fly you to a training hub for free and provide you with a hotel, and meal per diem. - Hours are easily traded between employees and you can have the freedom to have a second job and reap the rewards and benefits of the position without working long hours - On the job learning is constant.
Cons
- The Hiring process took two months before official start day. - Training is 8 constant days with no break in between from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Expect to be very tired. - You CANNOT be late. It’s a company policy and several employees have been let go for even being 1 minute late. If you have the tendency to be late to your job, do not expect to last long. They emphasize this in training but people still don’t understand how serious Alaska is about tardiness.
