The people are what makes this firm great. They are always there to help and are genuine. There's flexibility to go to appointments or work from home when needed. The pay is okay and pretty on par with other firms. There is a free and fully stocked cafe for employees. During trainings and busy season, dinners will be provided 2-3 times a week.

The same complaints everyone has about public accounting applies. Long hours and lots of stress. We should get more time off during non busy seasons to help with work life balance and overall happiness. Once BDO became ESOP it has had significant budget cuts, mass employee firings, and more stress on profit over the wellbeing of their employees.

Salary is pretty good. Good benefits. Flexible when balancing work from home or office. Good for starting out and promotions.

The usual with public accounting; long hours, stressful each year. All depends on the team you work with specifically though, that's important and people move around so there's no guarantee you'll be working with same people after year or two.
