What is a typical working day like at Circle K?

      Circle K reviews

      Avoid working here

      Customer service associate
      Former employee
      Spartanburg, SC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

If the place slammed co-workers are always willing to stay after shift to help until the rush is over.

      Cons

Inconsistent management, scheduling only one representative - usually female - during late night shift (unsafe), no panic button to summon help from law enforcement when there are dangerous and aggressive customers, Full-time employees are sent home if they go overtime and management has to hustle to call people in to cover on days off.

Easy job duties but challenging shift schedule

      Shop assistant
      Current employee
      Sha Tin
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      The job duty is easy.

      Cons

Requires me working day shift, middle shift and night shift alternatively.

      Could be better

      Customer service representative
      Current employee
      Minnetonka, MN
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Meet new people and new experiences

      Cons

No communication, short staff for night shift, not enough pay, etc

If you hate consistency, this is the job or you

      Assistant manager
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Somewhat laid back - That's actually it. Terrible job.

      Cons

      - Terrible pay - Inconsistent hours (35 hours one week, 20 the next) - Inconsistent schedule (you'll work a 10 hour shift until 11 at night and then be expected to come in at 5am the next day) - No benefits

What a terrible place to work.

      Customer service representative (csr)
      Former employee
      Louisville, KY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Easy to get hired because the job is so awful the turnover rate is through the roof.

      Cons

Management will lie to you during your job interview about pay, your duties, and safety. BTW, they pay less than any other convenient store in town, don't expect a living wage. You'll be expected to run the store and the gas station all by yourself, no matter what time of day, starting your third day of employment. They break labor laws left and right - you will have to be on your feet, standing , for 8-10 hours, with no breaks and no lunch, don't sit down - otherwise you're written up. Third shift personnel work all by themselves while all other 24 hour convenient stores have at least two people on duty for safety's sake, all so the managers can get bonuses for saving on labor costs. You'll be expected to stock, mop, clean bathrooms, dust, front, help customers, clean the whole store, take care of all the trash, inside and out, prepare the food, bakery, deli, stock the freezer, stock the soda, no wonder the stores are all disgusting and unsanitary. Lastly, I wouldn't eat or drink anything there. Just sayin'.
