Pros of working at the city:
Good employees to work with: Collaborating with competent and supportive colleagues can enhance job satisfaction and productivity.
Family importance: The company prioritizes family values, potentially offering benefits or flexibility to accommodate employees' family needs.
Cons
Cons of working at the city:
Low wages: The compensation might not be competitive compared to other employers or the cost of living in the area.
Difficulty in getting holidays: Limited availability of holidays can make it challenging to schedule time off for personal or family needs.
Limited work-from-home (WFH) opportunities: Having only one day a week for remote work might not provide enough flexibility for employees who prefer or need to work from home.
Pressure to attend work when unwell: Feeling pressured to attend work even when genuinely ill can negatively impact health and productivity.
Lack of consideration for mental health: The company may not prioritize or adequately support employees' mental well-being.
Poor backshift schedules: Unfavorable shift timings for backshifts can disrupt work-life balance and affect overall well-being.
The refrigeration engineers are treated like dirt, we have to work 15 hours before getting overtime pay as they give a salary that includes this and also an extra hour a day travel where almost all other trades don’t. We now have so many stores that the job is very stressful and now have to repair the glass doors and this has made the job impossible
Good culture. Management upto mid level are approachable. Really enjoyed my time here.
Cons
Salary is low in comparison to other employers for the same role. Higher management don't really listen to any concerns about problems at ground level.
