Beyond toxic work environment. Overworked employees, upper management is not transparent and not trustworthy. Global CEO is untrustworthy, unreliable, and blames all of the lower-level employees for any shortcomings of the company You'll likely enjoy your first 6ish months here, but its not a sustainable career choice PTO and Holidays are not respected by upper management, and people are often required to answer emails/do work while taking time off After laying off approximately 20% of the workforce, the global CEO called a meeting to congratulate those who remained for "making the cut" which felt very disrespectful Overall, the company culture is toxic and it keeps getting worse

You are treated as a commodity here. If upper management thinks they have no use for you, you will be fired on the spot. No warning, no severance, No pity. Everything is seen as a transaction here, and human beings are not treated as human beings. Turnover rate would be comedic if it were not so tragic. And what's worse, upper management seem to feel oddly good with themselves in spite of having a terrible internal culture where most of the staff is either dissatisfied or afraid they will go to the chopping block next. If you're one of the lucky ones and "they have use for you," good for you. Enjoy it while it lasts but don't assume there is long-term future for you there.

Provides an opportunity to learn renewables

It's hard to accurately describe how bad of a place to work this is. An atmosphere of fear, stress, and tension are so constantly present that they are the defining feature of the company culture. The atmosphere of fear is so pervasive that it's the only motivation for success. Respect or acknowledgement of a work/life balance is non existent. Evenings, weekends, holidays, PTO, none of it matters to them. The advice and input of staff at all levels of routinely ignored. This results in project denials, wasted time/money on projects staff know have no chance of success, construction setbacks, constant fines for not following construction regulations, and generally casting the entire industry in a negative light. If you'd expect an excessively high turnover rate to make them reevaluate the way employees are treated, you'd be wrong. Staff departures, which happen frequently, are typically explained as people not having the "energix dna." Management insists on every contract being negotiated to the point where external consultants become insulted. Progress will be delayed for weeks arguing over reducing a proposal by as little as $500. Required environmental protection measures will be installed late because the EPC team can't get contracts approved, despite construction proceeding while out of compliance. I could continue, but hopefully this is enough to make people think twice before jumping on board with this train wreck of a company.

- Administrative, mid level, and entry level staff is friendly and motivated. Always willing to help you out when you need it. - Good start to learn about renewables. - Good benefits and pay. - If you are lucky to work under the few kind, ethical, and qualified leaders/managers then it can somewhat offset the cons listed below.

- Lack of solar renewable energy project subject matter experts in the US makes training lower and mid level staff challenging. - No matter what the local higher level management will try to do to improve processes and culture in the US, all suggestions ultimately get rejected by the leadership from the parent company. - Talented and experience staff are nearly impossible to retain, as poor decision making from higher ups drives them away. - Massive staff turnover makes project management impossible. Certain company leaders will feel disrespected when a staff member submits notice to leave the company and will make them leave on the spot without any project or knowledge transfer. Remaining employees are forced to take on these projects with no notice. - Vacation time is not observed as some staff anticipates immediate responses and action to non urgent tasks. - Recent massive layoffs due to employees not having the “Energix DNA” with no plan from leadership to rehire or adequately restructure. Parent company leadership congratulated remaining employees on making the cut- shameful.

Office quality and location is nice. Lower-level employees are lovely and helpful. Great benefits. Good foot in the door if you're interested in renewables.

Pay is poor for the DMV area and opportunities to get raises are few and far between. Terrible upper management. They hire Israelis for these upper-level roles with little to no relevant experience and many of them are not fluent in English just because they are Israeli. They can never hold onto employees of actual value because they like to overload and treat them badly and then wonder why they're understaffed and cannot perform business properly, pay contractors on time, follow project schedules without delays, build projects to code, or maintain decent relationships in the areas they operate in. People come into this company as fast as they go out. Whether they are fired or quit, people leave overarchingly because management and company culture are bad.

The start-up culture encouraged people to take on their roles and helped shape them. However, since it is an emerging industry it feels like there was a lot of staff without the necessary experience to complete their job without direct guidance from a senior level staffer.

Middle level management suffered at leading a team and helping mentor their growth. The employees often felt segmented and as if their success as an employee was tied to the outcome of a project- rather than the work put in.

Decent pay and benefits, that's it. If you want to travel this is the job for you
