Pros
Good pay, good team, fun environment
Cons
Not much opportunity for growth unless going into management
Pros
Great rapport & connections built, created with in-store team. Family-like team environment in store.
Cons
Demanding & unrealistic expectations to deliver on. When underdelivered, scare tactic & threats of shifts/hours being cut were often addressed. Lack of opportunity for progression. Nil work life balance, expected to respond to emails, texts, calls, 7 days a week. Stress & pressure from upper management to deliver, will lead you to exhaustion. Input > output. Rewarded peanuts (maybe a gift card/pizza for lunch? lol) for breaking your back. Manager’s bonus scheme is below average, lowest salary compared to other retailers. World War 3 when voicing any concern to negotiate pay or increase in pay. HR have nil compassion for their people, HR is for the business; not the people.
Pros
Compensation was good, regarding salaries, bonuses, and staff discounts. Company culture is mostly positive and geared toward fostering a sense of community. The network of brands connected to Hype DC via Accent Group allows the employee to access an incredible range of products with the previously mentioned discount. All in all, a good place to get a career started, not a good place to keep it going though.
Cons
The business has now begun a war on Annual Leave; Metrics to achieve your bonus for the month are as follows; achieving the preset monthly wage target, online order fulfillment above 95% for the month, and achieving your stores monthly sales target. Previously annual leave was not included in a stores expenditures, however, the business is now including leave. So anyone who takes leave on a month that you achieve your sales target and order target, now puts everyone in that store at risk of missing out on a good amount of extra money for their genuine hard work. Area Managers discreetly encouraged borderline fraud to enhance store KPI's Workloads can be realistic, however, like any business with faulty leaders higher up, there are plenty of times through the year when workloads stop being healthy and become borderline abusive. The culture is beginning to take a turn for the worse. This is a high performance business, but now it's just crossing the lines into manipulative and greedy; fix it now, or you'll become dead in the water
Pros
Inclusive, Good pay, Good Penalties, Good Bonuses
Cons
Late shifts, high expectations, out of touch management
Pros
Fun place to work and nice office
Cons
Low pay and some annoying co workers
Pros
Good co workers Decent pay Discounts
Cons
Management and Customers sometimes were really a testing point

Pros
good discount - 40% off individual, 20% for immediate family on the whole accent group 50% off 2 pairs of shoes every quarter for anyone
Cons
bad pay rare bonus - performance based and it doesnt help when you work at a lower performing store/ some coworkers take your sales hence your commission. management isnt that helpful minimal other benefits to working there other than discount
Pros
above average salary. good team members
Cons
Some upper management are clueless to day to day operations
Pros
Team in store are amazing Good discount across multiple brands Good product Fun for a casual position, never sign a contract
Cons
Unrealistic KPI’s So pushy with AVs Pay is awful No free shoes/allowance for full timers but must wear product So hard to progress unless you suck up to the right people Out of touch with their customer and employees
