Pros
Kier alone are a fab company to work for.
No issues with pay, pay increase yearly.
Christmas holiday.
Working from home, if able to, means not watching the clock and able to get more achieved.
Regular team catch ups and Kier regularly inviting to webinars so everyone knows what’s happening in Kier on general.
Cons
December to November holiday year is odd.
Sadly, there’s a feeling that Kier employees seem to be forgotten about at HPC,
It all seems very much led by BAM.
BAM send out questionnaires to BAM only employees for their opinions regarding the JV.
HPC request if you don’t need to be on site then they would prefer you didn’t due to the large number of people, limited office space, desk availability, transport and catering issues etc. KierBAM employees were sent an email telling us they had secured an office for staff offsite, and that we would find out what was happening in the new year, of course those that know, already know and the rumour is that everyone who is not needed at site and/or working from home is expected to attended this office.
No consultation has taken place to change employees current working arrangements, and management don’t seem to be too informative, maybe they don’t know either?
Since this email in November no one actually seems to know what is expected of them.
Those that have objected (not refused) due to the location of this offsite office and unable to get to it have been shrugged off with a ‘oh well, you know what to do then…’ attitude from KBJV management at HPC.
No communication from Kier HR regarding this change that may or may not be expected.
Team members leaving.
