      Pros

      Pay on commission was based on a poor plan… great for employer but not employees. Continual revolving door of sales associates as there is low pay and work / life balance is very unsatisfactory.

      Cons

      Poor compensation. Had to clean store ourselves as they did not want to pay for professional cleaners. Management had obvious favorites.

      Unrealistic quotas. The commission structure is base or commission you don't get both You have to drive your own car to your interior design appointments but they do not compensate you for gas or travel.

      Pros

      Commission plus base pay, quarterly bonuses, the opportunity to make genuine connections with customers. If management notices that you think quickly to make a sale, especially design sales, they will give you free reign to keep bringing in the sales however you see fit.

      Cons

      If there's a not-so-great manager. Not too many complaints. Of course in sales therr will be slow months, so you do have to think about that financially when you're having a great sales streak.

      20.00 an hour, full time, over time...but once you reach that amount or more a month with commission... the commission takes over, no more hourly. 401 k, health insurance, spiffs, laid back environment, lol. Other benefits that weren't really explained but they are there.

      The possibilities were there but the job training was not. Once commission takes over you only get paid once a month. They sometimes over pay on employees pay checks and you are forced to pay it back ASAP. So keep track of your time, commission, spiffs, etc...because they obviously don't. The Training process is horrible... well there is none except by the sales people and that's not even there job. Interview... I should've taken the red flag seriously when I was being interviewed. No explanation of the job really what so ever... and answering my questions was almost impossible for him to answer. Leaving the interview to take personal calls was mind blowing, but I didn't let that experience interfere with an opportunity I was interested in. I've thought long and hard about my decision, considering all aspects of the job but I can't move forward with a company that doesn't take the time or effort to train properly. I've given it enough time for the trainer to show me the ropes and I have received nothing in return, except for complaints about other employees and her health issues... (Btw the amount of gossiping that goes on there is mind blowing, and it will happen right away). which Iam very sorry that this person was struggling with but wrong place wrong time to share such information... and it was everyday that i would see her, which wasn't very seldom. Also she would disappear for hours on end, leaving me with no explanation. They depend to much on you sitting there watching videos when all it really is teaching you is customer service and how the furniture is made... and I'm talking hours and hours of videos. The days I've spent there I had to figure out for myself on how to make the day as productive as I can, just to try and learn the ropes... that's not how it should be. I would go out on the sales floor and shadow the sales people Just to try and learn something...but the sales people only have so much time to show me how the computer system works and before you know it they're up for customer interaction. I loved talking to customers and seeing the hole side of the design center, but the way the training is going it will take forever to learn, and I speak for several of your past employees... I'm sure of it. That's exactly why no one stays long. The job trainer had way to much on her plate at work and in your personal life to even take the time to train properly, unless she was purposely trying to avoid me. I have never in all my years ever dealt with poor training management. It's sad because, it really could've been a awesome place to work at, and i'am a very good worker, and have amazing work ethic, but I was taken advantage of, I feel. Also very poor management on the managers side. He takes no time to even see how the new employee is doing... leaves it up to the sales people and that I feel is laziness on his part... and he gossips way to much which is in my opinion extremely unprofessional. Yes it's great to be a family oriented working environment but there are times where things need to be professional and I don't see that ever happening there. I don't know exactly what is going on there with in that company but whatever it is... it's very unprofessional. but wait there's more... the computer system is very complicated, well especially when your being told 4 different ways on how to use the program... which is a very short short introduction on it. You not only take care of the customers, but also cash them out, and that is a huge process. I've seen it take anywhere to an hour or more for sale to be closed....yes that's right you do it all, plus answer phones if needed. Fact of the matter is... they are very unorganized when it comes to training new employees for the sales floor, that is. Hold on tight cause your in for a ride.
