      Business outlook

      Pros

There is clear career progression and you can earn a lot if you work hard and have good leaders.

      Cons

Staffing can be tough and transactional. Base salary needs to reflect current economic needs though.

      Pros

      • The PTO policy is structured and fair (not unlimited), and unused time rolls over, which is appreciated. • Celebrations for birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones add a personal touch to the corporate environment. • Salaried pay is provided for corporate roles, offering a level of consistency. • There are career opportunities posted internally—though many internal moves appear to be predetermined, which can make postings feel more performative than genuine.

      Cons

      • This company operates under a facade of positivity and culture, but the internal experience is anything but. Transparency is severely lacking—layoffs are disguised as “rightsizing” to preserve their image, even when people are blindsided. • Promotions and internal hiring are often predetermined. Roles are posted publicly as a formality, but leadership already knows who they’re choosing. If you’re not already in the inner circle, don’t expect upward mobility. • Compensation practices are concerning. When employees are promoted, leaders don’t use a defined salary range for the role. Instead, they base the new offer on your current pay—regardless of market value. This creates long-term pay inequities, especially for women and employees of color, and ensures that loyalty is punished financially. • Sales and Recruitment staff are treated as the company’s priority. Corporate employees are frequently overlooked, under-resourced, and held to a different standard. Perks, recognition, and even communication channels are not equal. • The return-to-office mandate is poorly enforced and highly inequitable. While some teams are strictly monitored, others—typically those aligned with influential leaders—routinely ignore the requirement with no consequences. There are days when entire departments are empty, and one or two employees show up just to say they were “present.” It’s demoralizing and pointless. • There is a constant pressure to be available at all hours. Responding late to an email while on PTO or during personal time will often result in passive-aggressive comments or negative feedback—making it clear that disconnecting is not truly allowed. • HR is ineffective and lacks credibility. Many employees don’t report issues because nothing happens. Responses are canned and rarely followed by action, creating a culture of silence and distrust. • Diversity is not a value—it’s a checkbox. Leadership is overwhelmingly homogenous, and there is an unspoken “type” that continues to be hired and promoted: young, thin, conventionally attractive, and overwhelmingly white. • Company-sponsored trips and events often blur professional boundaries, with leaders drinking alongside much younger employees in questionable settings. It’s uncomfortable at best and inappropriate at worst. • Internally there’s no secret that offshore hiring is rapidly expanding, and more domestic roles are being quietly eliminated. If you’re looking for stability, this is not the place. • Ultimately, Medix talks a big game about “culture,” “family,” and “core values,” but those words do not match employee experience. This is a company that sees people as replaceable tools and only rewards those who fall in line.

      Pros

Working at Medix has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. One of the standout aspects of this company is its commitment to internal growth opportunities. Unlike many places where career advancement can feel like an uphill battle, Medix fosters a culture where hard work is not only recognized but genuinely rewarded. Beyond career progression, the team dynamics at Medix are exceptional. I'm fortunate to work alongside supportive colleagues who celebrate each other's successes. There's a genuine camaraderie that permeates our workplace, where everyone cheers on each other's wins and supports each other through challenges.

      Cons

Working at Medix is both rewarding and demanding, especially given the nature of the staffing industry. It's a field that comes with its fair share of ups and downs. The pace can be fast, and things don’t always go as planned. It's a challenging environment where flexibility and resilience are key. That said, these challenges also provide valuable opportunities for growth. The unpredictability of the industry has taught me the importance of maintaining a positive and enthusiastic mindset. Every setback is a learning experience, and staying optimistic is crucial to moving forward. What truly makes a difference at Medix is the incredible support system. From team members to leadership, there's a strong sense of camaraderie that helps you navigate the tough times. Relying on this network of support has been instrumental in overcoming challenges and continuing to strive for success.

      Pros

You will actually make friends at work, the team was the only thing that kept me going. I managed to stay in this company for over a year but I have been thinking about quitting since my 2nd month.

      Cons

High turnover, low compensation, micromanagement, they make so many promises that they are not keeping, so many internal changes, very toxic work environment, really the only good thing about this company is the people/employees NOT leadership. Very stressful position, no job security what so ever, no career growth, no opportunities, if you are a top performer they will treat you like royalty but the moment something goes wrong you will feel like you might get laid off tomorrow. There are way better companies out there..

Medix needs a lot of work: breakdown

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Staffing and sales is a highly competitive industry, and Medix looks for individuals who thrive in this type of environment. If you enjoy fast-paced, high-pressure settings and are motivated by competition, you’ll likely do well here. Make sure to emphasize this when interviewing and you’ll most likely move on to the next round.

      Cons

Medix recently entered into a partnership with a PE firm, which led to organizational changes and cycles of layoffs (though not publicly documented). This has created a noticeable divide between long-term employees who struggle with the “new” Medix and those who have embraced the changes. Performance is heavily tied to KPIs. If you’re not consistently exceeding goals, you can feel invisible within the organization. Recognition is often limited to the same group of individuals, while others with potential are overlooked. The company sometimes unfairly compares new grads or employees with 1–2 years of experience to tenured staff with 10+ years in the industry. Leadership is another challenge. High-performing salespeople are often promoted into management roles without leadership training or experience. This results in offices being led by individuals who may excel at sales but lack the ability to manage or develop teams effectively. Recruiters and account managers often don’t receive the guidance they need, which can lead to performance issues and these are rarely addressed proactively. Instead, managers avoid difficult conversations, leaving employees blindsided when problems escalate. The culture can also feel cliquey, which is common in staffing. Some people thrive in the competitive, socially driven environment, while others may find it draining.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Found me a job I guess?

      Cons

I was recruited for a contract position. Once I accepted the role I was encouraged multiple times to keep my recruiter updated about how I felt about the position and if I ever had any concerns to let them know asap. Jokes on me, as soon as I told them I probably wouldn't accept a position if they offered me one, they informed me I should cut my contract short, that I "shouldn't stay somewhere where I'm not happy." Me, being naive, and not enjoying the work, agreed and spoke with my on site manager. Turns out they had no intention of helping me find another job because I broke the contract. I certainly would've finished the contract and found another job before putting in my notice (obviously) but because I was manipulated by this recruiting company I ended up scrambling to find another job after I'd already put in my notice as my recruiter had advised me to do. Turns out most recruiting companies don't do stuff like this, my next recruiter was incredible and very empathetic with me. My recruiter with Medix seemed so kind, and really acted like she cared and was interested in how I fit in at my workplace. Turns out I think it hurts their bottom line if a contract employee fulfills their contract but doesn't stay on with said company. Do NOT trust these people with your livelihood or career
