Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value your insights and are dedicated to continually improving the employee experience for all members of our Miro team. We understand and appreciate your concerns regarding the changes within the sales department and the broader organization. To ensure transparency and clarify our strategic objectives, we shared our long-term strategy and OKRs with the sales teams at the start of the year. Moreover, we've recently undergone significant transformations within our Sales organizations to better align with our three-year vision and objectives. These adjustments are aimed at enhancing our ability to meet the changing needs of our customers. By fostering improved alignment with territories and customers, we aim to cultivate long-term relationships that benefit both parties. Regarding your concerns about growth opportunities, we want to highlight that data from last year reveals that nearly 200 members of our GTM team transitioned into new roles throughout the organization. We recognize that growth isn't always confined to vertical advancement, and we're committed to providing diverse opportunities for professional development and career progression. Thanks again for bringing these concerns to our attention. Adam Carr - Head of Global Sales

      Pros

Collaborative and supportive team environment. Opportunities to work on innovative projects. Flexible work policies and strong career development focus.

      Cons

Layoffs have created uncertainty in recent times.

Product is ok. No growth opportunities

      Pros

Good interesting product area to work on. New tech, people are smart.

      Cons

Leadership doesn’t seem to know what to do. A lot of throw “AI” and see what sticks. Growth is slow.

      Pros

      - Product is pretty solid - Easy to use and quickly demo basic things to customers

      Cons

      - Core messaging and positioning changes every quarter - Entire market is commoditized, every deal comes down to price - No playbook beyond PLG sales - Product is too generalized - falling behind competitors like Figma and Lucid - It is hard to tell the value story...COVID drove the growth of this company and we had tons of quick wins, however we skipped so many discovery steps and now with these customers up for renewal, we do not have a value story to back up the price - There is absolutely zero career path for sales beyond attrition - Internal promotions/opportunities are not handled with transparency - CEO is totally absent - Constant contradictions - big push to value sell, but now the only other product to sell is security? Where is the line of business value in that?

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of working at Miro. We're glad to hear that you like the product, and we appreciate your dedication to delivering quality demos to our customers. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the frequency of changes in our core messaging and positioning. The past year has indeed been marked by rapid shifts in market conditions, necessitating agile responses from our team. We’re continuously evaluating our approach to stay competitive and deliver unique value to our customers. While we strive to make the best decisions, we don't always get it right, and we recognize the need to continue iterating. In response to your growth opportunity concerns, we'd like to emphasize that last year's data shows nearly 200 members of our GTM team successfully moved into different roles across the organization. We understand that growth extends beyond just moving up vertically and are dedicated to offering varied opportunities for professional development and career advancement. We appreciate your willingness to share, and we're here to listen and make things better for you and everyone at Miro. Adam Carr - Head of Global Sales

      Pros

Really cool product - still use it today! Free lunch

      Cons

Difficult to sell Enterprise plan - market deems it as a “nice to have” Personally, my manager was incompetent and did not adequately coach or upskill their reps. Just expected them to be amazing and self-sufficient. Leadership is lack luster and managers should be scrutinized on their attrition rates. Limited career advancement. Roles mostly were never backfilled and net team size stayed steady in ~2 years

Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you value the work-life balance and compensation at Miro. We acknowledge that Miro's vision has evolved over time, and we are now entering a phase where our direction is becoming more precisely defined. Great company with great working culture

      Senior frontend engineer
      Current employee
      Amsterdam
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great flexibility for time management, nice working environment, open mindset for growth and culture of change whenever better options are presented

      Cons

It's getting better but the process of performance reviews changes very often and can be confusing and hard to follow through. Salary increases require some work to build a case for yourself, which can be bad if you are shy or like to focus on working without having to showing proof of your worth (aka some lack of recognition).
