How are the career development opportunities at RWJBarnabas Health?

Great benefits, lots of opportunities to gain experience in other areas.

My only con was my job title shifting due to COVID and I did not like the new role.

Some great coworkers that really did help and work as a team.

Some coworkers were praised and allowed to be employed after not doing their work and pushing responsibility to the next person. Management is a big problem . Lying about policy and expecting you to do work way above your scope if responsibility and do the work of multiple people because they can not staff properly. Many times they would cut a doctors schedule due to lack of staff but expect you to get all the patients in where there are no openings. Office managers were part of the problem but the main source was the Regional managers making poor management decisions. Very little room for advancement unless you know people higher up that like you. It's not what you know here it is who you know.

Amazing Company, Amazing Community Focus, Awesome access to some of the top minds in healthcare and community health on the Clinical and Non-Clinical sides of medicine.

There is not a clear model of upward mobility. It's often mentioned and highlighted that the company has a lot of opportunities for career growth and opportunities to gain higher positions, but it's not often clear or seen. Most people who I've seen gain higher positions were those who worked here, left the company for a brief period then came back. Annual raises are no longer incentive/merit based. We used to have merit/incentive based bonuses/raises to encourage competition working harder, etc. That was taken away without a clear-cut explanation. Now we get the standard 3% or 4% raise.

EMT paid isn’t as good as working for the towns in the area.

missing educator for more than a year rude staff and not getting fixed unorganized
