What is the salary like at SCCPSS?

The pay is higher than some districts.

FOLKS - they literally meet to decide when to have meetings. Teachers do a lot outside of regular work hours. Join this club or support this organization or stay late until 7 PM for PTA. Make your own monthly newsletter to send to parents instead of using the one the school sends.. It’s just endless extra busy tasks. The district could make things easier on teachers by streamlining the work down to just teaching and student performance and behavior !!! That would be more than enough work.

Got decent pay with recent raises, the kids, benefits.

Way too many excluded days off.. 3-5 days before and after holidays. Micromanagement.

Higher pay for teachers compared to other counties

Very stressful with little support from administration

It’s all for show. disorganised and top heavy. Decisions are made for teachers by people who have never been teachers

Good hours if you have kids

Low pay for what you have to deal with

The pay is okay but other counties such as Gwinnett are much higher.
