Thanks for taking the time to review. We are very happy to hear you enjoy the flexibility that being a medical scribe can offer, as well as being able to work remotely as a Telescribe. We work very hard to maintain our place as the industry leader and strive to always be competitive in every market. We always recommend working with your direct supervisor to determine if you are able to be cross-trained in a different specialty of medicine, or at another facility, so that you are always seeing unique cases and continuing to grow in your role.

      Don't waste your time!

      Pros

You can work from home. EHR/EMR experience.

      Cons

Pay is so low for how much the company gets paid and could pay more. Management is not nice or helpful unless it benefits them in some way. They change your schedule often without making sure it works for you. Inconsistent hours. If you want full time it won't happen. My original manager helped me cheat through the final exam. Some might say thats a PRO not a CON but its a red flag. They dont care if youre able to pass it on your own or not they just need people to scribe whether or not they're fit for the position. When working for two different sites they won't tell you the pay difference (I've asked three times with no answer) Some doctors are rude and talk badly about patients and are very unprofessional. If they don't like how you word things even if means the same thing they'll rewrite your entire work without giving feedback and then will complain to your manager/supervisor about your performance. They literally will sit in and watch you scribe for the day. Makes you feel like you've been bad as a child and now your parent has to come to school with you all day to make sure you behave. Their scheduling app is confusing. If you wanted to say available from 8-5 if you put that as unavailable. They use two different scheduling platforms to make it more confusing. Honestly don't waste your time because they don't appreciate their scribes and take advantage of them. They're rude and confusing. They get mad when you ask questions to understand. They lie about supposed benefits you can get if you are fulltime. There are no benefits!! The trainors are usually really nice BUT they havent even worked with that doctor yet and will not be able to tell you their preferences in charting. When I was training for the first time the trainor had a question and went to ask the doctor and got completely ignored! It was awkward and made me more anxious and uneasy about trying to ask questions on my own which she occasionally still ignores!
