What is the hiring process like at Spectrum?

No consecutive two days off on first shift, low hourly pay, commission structure miscommunication in hiring process, if you don’t like loud environments then definitely not for you unless you can maintain until a work from home opportunity opens up, leadership doesn’t have opportunity to work from home

If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been one of the most disorganized and unprofessional work environments I’ve ever encountered. After weeks of “training,” we’ve learned almost nothing of value. The program is poorly structured, and leadership seems completely out of touch. The hiring process appears to prioritize quantity over quality, resulting in chaotic training sessions filled with constant distractions, drama, and a lack of basic workplace decorum. It feels more like a crowded waiting room than a professional setting…loud personal conversations, crap talking about other colleagues, phone calls, and general disorder are the norm. Am I in high school or work? I don’t know… The environment is toxic and not conducive to learning or growth. I’m actively seeking other opportunities and strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and discouraging. You deserve better.

Work-life balance is not the best in certain departments, lack of transparency regarding hiring freezes and layoffs.

Corporate culture, leadership has no idea what they're doing, no respect for their employees.

Spectrum has provided a great learning environment thus far. The trainer Gene provides us with lots of information and great perspectives on how to do the job. The manager and supervisors have been great and have been very helpful during the new hire process. Fellow technicians have also been very good about helping us learn as much as possible.

I have no downsides for Spectrum at this point.

Just getting started. All I can review is the hiring process. It was excellent! The best thing about the company hiring website is that It didn't suck! That sounds like faint praise, but it's NOT. I have been on many company HR sites this year and left MANY of them thinking, "I no longer want to work for this company!". So many companies make this process so hard and why? I'm not worth the effort?? The Charter Communications HR Dashboard is simple and easy to use. As somebody with coding experience, I can tell you that's hard to pull off! It takes effort and real empathy for the user. The Charter HR hiring process has empathy built in at every level. EVERY person I interacted with at Charter was professional and helpful. I never felt like I was being ignored or wasting my time. This process made me WANT to work at Spectrum Enterprises within the Charter Communications family. I haven't started work yet, but I'm excited to get going!
