What are pay raises like at Sutherland?

      Sutherland reviews

Great Place to work if you just do exactly as asked

      Supervisor/trainer
      Current employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

They have a good team of leaders, they just ask that you perform the task the way they want, which is not unreasonable at all. They are very good about PTO, needing assistance or help, just very accommodating. I enjoyed working there, just had to resign to get some health issues taken care of, but even then they offered to wait, but my recovery was 6 months so I could not do that, but if I could find another vacant spot for what I was doing I would go back 100%.

      Cons

While the pay not be the highest and you don't really get a raise maybe some of the lower tiered supervisors could be a little better trained, the KPI's aren't too crazy, but you could be at the top with all great numbers and they will still find something to hassle you about, but its not that bad just ignore it and keep doing your best.

      Good company but low pay

      Sr. software engineer
      Current employee
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good company with no micro management. Flexible timings, good enough projects

      Cons

Pay is really bad, no bonuses and low pay raise.

      Good for entry level

      Customer service associate
      Former employee
      Mandaluyong City
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      culture is great, easy accounts

      Cons

low pay, raise per year is very low

Easy job but toxic management undermines the experience

      Tech associate
      Former employee
      Coral Springs, FL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

They provide equipment, and it’s a relatively easy job.

      Cons

Managers can be very shady and create toxic work environments. They promote based on personal relationships not education or experience. Low pay, even with high annual review scores you can still get no raise or very little.

      experience as an employee

      Sales associate/customer service representative
      Former employee
      Pili, Camarines Sur
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Paid Training HMO Shuttle Service (South/Nabua to site, North/Naga to site, Partido to site and vice versa) Commission Salary Yearly pay raise easy to apply and get hired

      Cons

below salary grade pay shuttle service for south employees is somehow inconsistent, like you need to wait 1 hour or more before you can go home low pay raise

      Abusive and Toxic Work Culture

      Technical support engineer
      Former employee
      Bogota, Cundinamarca
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Overall, the company is solid with consistent and timely payments. I had the opportunity to work with NetApp as a tech support engineer, and they are an excellent company to collaborate with.

      Cons

The management team created a toxic and abusive work environment. Micromanagement was rampant, and there was a severe lack of empathy from leadership. Despite being understaffed, the workload was overwhelming, and there was constant pressure to do more with less. They refused to hire additional staff, and while they demanded extra work, they wouldn’t compensate for the extra hours. Leaving on time, which should be standard, was met with complaints. The salary range was significantly below the industry average for someone with 3-5 years of experience, and the annual raise was a mere 2-3%, which is disappointing.

      Best BPO

      Team manager
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great career opportunities Great enforcement of policies and procedures Supports its people (employees) Ensures growth and development of its employees Nice pay for team Managers and above (paid in USD) Yearly pay raise for all based on performance.

      Cons

Although the business strive to support its employees, persons in authority oftentimes take aggressive approach towards team members to reach and maintain performance which can lead to a stressful environment for many.

Not a bad place to work

      Customer support representative
      Former employee
      Sofia, Sofia (city)
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Work is chill, depending on the project you're in. I'd stay away from phone support, always prefer chat or email. Although chat may take a while to get used to, since you may chat with multiple customers at a time and it's hectic sometimes. Company culture is well developed and the attitude of employees and managers alike is friendly at the least, excluding the occasional bad apple. Working at home is allowed, huge. Processes and knowledge base are robust. Although not perfect they are definitely something you can depend on.

      Cons

Salary is not the best out there. Promotions barely include any salary raise, so there's not much incentive to try hard or a goal to strive for. Higher ups in the projects you support may not listen to what the Sutherland project managers or their team managers have to say, thus delaying improvements until a crack in the system is formed and they try to reinvent the wheel. You're one cog in the wheel and are always replaceable, especially with AI nowadays. I strongly advise against working as a support agent for more than 3-5 years. Strive for something in your free time and work hard on that. Think about where you see yourself in a few years when you read this.

Good Work life balance for analytics

      Lead data scientist
      Current employee
      Hyderābād
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Work from home most of employees for analytics. Work life balance. Positive environment.

      Cons

Salary hike, medical insurance benefits and benefits are less compare to other companies.

High pay for a non voice account

      Consultant
      Former employee
      Cubao
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Above average pay for non-voice account Plenty of upskilling Lots of opportunities internally

      Cons

Low annual increase depending on your scorecards and company's revenue Too much upskilling but no pay increase Initiatives were gone when the management changed Job went from handling dual chats concurrency to having 2 to 16 chats at a time and they ask agents to reply within 3 mins which is impossible
