Good travel opportunities and a great way to meet new people
Cons
To heavily focused on making sales over staff mental health and wellbeing. Management are not the best, always on holiday and clearly not well trained photographers, rather salesman that are trying to push pennies over customer experience.
I am currently work at Tempest Photography as a Senior School's Photographer covering the area of Worcester.
I find Tempest to be a great employer, they are a very understanding and flexible company who listen with families always at the heart of what we do.
Great care is taken in terms of training to make sure that every interaction with employees from the company is positive.
Full photography equipment is provided including a company car and a mobile.
No previous experience required in terms of photography as full training is given as what is required is enthusiasm, a positive outlook with a caring friendly nature and the ability to work with children of all ages to capture that special moment.
The Autumn term is very busy working 5 days a week for Sept, Oct, Nov with the occasional early start (at schools at 7.30am for pre-school family photographs).
Again busy in May and June with the occasional (one or two days) work in March and April.
There is also the option to work extra hours at University Graduations across the country with all expenses paid including accommodation and food.
I would definitely recommend working for Tempest as there are not many employers where management, including the Managing Director actually photograph at Schools and Graduations.
Cons
I am unable to find anything to not to work for Tempest
