Pros
Twitch continues to support remote working with optional days in the office and many working 100% remote. Good culture and actively tries to balance work life with company shut downs, no meeting times and no meeting days.
Cons
Still coming out of being a unicorn start up. Growing pains and some leads who lack experience but are there as they joined when the company was small

Pros
Work from home, perks, flex time
Cons
Leadership is really an issue, 3 of the top female leaders ( COO, CPO, VP Product Eng) have resigned in the past 3 months. The CEO and the Chief Product officer are ton def to the issues in the world today and drive the culture blindly...no consideration for the teams or today's world. VERY OUT OF TOUCH ( which is why attrition is double the industry)
Advice to Management
Educate the CEO and create some accountability for the two most Sr. Male leaders at the company

Pros
+ good food + stable amazon backed business + fun sector + great for work life balance, college grads without established experience, rest and vest scenarios +reasonable and stable pay for market
Cons
- product development lacks innovation, velocity or growth - inexperienced middle to upwards management including csuite - DEI issues in news are reflected in work environment with slow change and lack of formal company process around how to to address them - not a great place for high performers, industry leaders and people who want to get things done. There is a culture of subtle pushback for high performers mostly led by inexperienced top to middle level management.

Pros
Super flexible work life balance and generous hours within reason, at least as an engineer. If you like the platform (as I do) it feels great to be building things for it and seeing the community appreciate your work. Very flexible and supportive remote work place.
Cons
Collaboration between teams can be a bit difficult and product vision a bit muddied. Enjoyment and day-to-day experience in the workplace seems to vary greatly team to team. High profile decisions can blindside/upset employees and community alike. Very young (slightly entitled) work force.
Advice to Management
Get out ahead of controversial high profile decisions to try and rally employees. More clearly communicate the specific long and short term goals for the company.
