What is the feeling of job security at Veterinary Healthcare Associates?

Nothing good except the people that work here minus management.

Low pay, understaffed, management with no experience and no compassion and will lie to your face. No integrity for the long term employees they came in and fired over 30 people no notice then lied and said budget cuts but they had already hired several to replace at cheaper rate with no experience or care for the animals

The techs, doctors and support staff are the ones who care about the pets.

Where to start, the management is horrible upper leadership is even worse. The most toxic place to work cause it is a cult. You can watch the owners videos on tube where he tries to justify firing over 32 staff members. They were told budget costs and lay off so they couldn't get unemployment. They also never received cobra so health insurance just cancelled and no coverage. hr continually ignored requests...one person fired even though multiple emails sent to HR requesting FMLA. Leadership had no training or support they did finally start a few course but that was a failure. Upper management has human health care background so no knowledge of animals. Support staff work long hours for little pay... Pay is not consistent with qualifications either. I could go on but there's too much. There are so many other local places to work so run from here

My co workers and the Doctors

Toxic is all I can say. The new management has ruined my love to work here. It used to be a great place to work but the people they hired a few months back are going to run this place in the ground. They are rude and nasty and really put you down all the time. They never say anything good just constantly putting you down. I have done this for years and I have always loved it and never thought I would leave but the next chance I get I will. They came in out of the blue with no notice and fired like 30-40 people. Good people and loyal employees. When I saw who they let go and who they kept I was mind boggled like they literally let go one of the best nurses they had and a amazing team player with no remorse. I saw that and knew at that moment no one was safe and I cant take that chance of being without a job so I will go where there is job security. The new leaders have no idea of Vet Med and how to run a Veterinary Clinic, especially the ones the put over the ER/ICU. If they wise up and let the new management go before I quit then I will stay. The pay is too low for all you do and what they charge the clients.

The people you work with is the only thing good about this company

Management is terrible especially the new management brought in recently. They used to have great management then fired all them to replace them with corporate robots in it for the money. They also just laid off 32 employees who have been working hard for that company for years. After they fired a lot of staff before that. They now only care for the money. Now general practice has to see emergency visits when we had an emergency clinic and GP is supposed to focus on appointments so now if you have an appointment expect to wait longer and if your there for an emergency and seeing general practice for it be prepared to wait longer than if you went to the building labeled emergency. The employees in the emergency also get paid more than GP technicians even though they are all doing the same cases except GP handles both appointments and emergencies but get paid less. This place is a joke to work and don’t waste your time. Over worked underpaid.

Pay Positive Attitude between Employees Great Animal Medical Care

No Job Security (even though they say there is) Leadership can be Vindictive Misleading Hiring (tell you it is full time when they intend to lay you off when business seasonally changes)

The team that I worked with was what kept me going.

This place is toxic. They treat you like robots and expect too much of you without paying you what you deserve. They backstab you and think it’s ok. This place WAS amazing years ago but it’s turned into a corporate mess. Which is funny since they preach that they’re not a corporate facility yet they just did a giant lay off of 31 people today. Ripped away everything from these people.
