Pros
I will give them this: they pay on time and fairly quickly
Cons
I started off being recruited here in the fall of 2023 on LinkedIn by WRE. Good pitch - solid guy.
I decided to give it a try and was given some basic CRM training/process training by someone who is no longer there. I already have a lot of experience, so in fairness there wasn't a lot of training needed aside from their tech.
It went great at first. I made about 10 sales, leads and appointments were provided on my calendar. Had some really great conversations with the leads they provided in Minnesota, most of which were reachback/aged opportunities whom had gotten lost in the shuffle from summer 2023. Out of the 10 or so sales I made in 2 months, 0 cancels. WRE is an all-in-house provider which is super valuable when you're up against competition that subs out its work. Seemed great - I was all in....
....until November 2023 when WRE just seemed to ghost me off of the planet. The guy who trained me (whom I barely even spoke to in the first place) quit. I have 0 contact. My emails to leadership were not responded to for months on end. The higher-up who recruited me simply wouldn't reply. A new leadership guy came on, 0 reply. I stopped getting leads with 0 communication whatsoever. I finally had to hunt down the person (in a leadership position) who recruited me on LinkedIn only to get a sparse reply (dumbfounded and acting like he had no idea what I was talking about or even who I was) every couple days. Instead of a meeting or phone call, I did get a random Docusign request to sign their company handbook with no context whatsoever which I thought was funny. I disregarded that as I'm sure there was some sort of NDA buried that they snuck in there hoping I wouldn't notice. No one seems to have any idea what is going on over there as it pertains to the remote 1099 sales aspect. A friend did message me out of the blue looking for work who mentioned that WRE had gone to door-to-door sales only. Gee that would have been nice to know! The hilarious irony is that they're posting the same position I worked in for a few months on LinkedIn so I've been applying for it just to try to get some sort of response.
I finally got paid out on my remaining commissions and here I am writing the review.
All-in-all, at one point it seemed like a solid place to sell for until I realized I had 0 contact person and 0 replies from anyone. I know what it's like to work 12 hour days. It takes 30 seconds to reply to an email. There's no excuse to leave people hanging like WRE did with me. Would be a 1-star review but I'll bump it to 2 stars because they paid my commissions.
There are a lot of bogus scam solar companies out there and WRE is *not* one of them, they just need to communicate and have a structured system for their contractors. Don't just leave us in the dark wondering what's going on. That's bush league amateur human being behavior.
