Started with a phone screen to gauge general embedded knowledge, then an in person interview. I told them initially during the phone screen that I had no embedded experience. I got an email a few days later that stated I didn’t get the position because my experience wasn’t enough. In their defense I didn’t do well in the interview. The combination of lack of sleep and nervousness caused me to not even be able to solve basic arithmetic. So I know I botched the interview. So I believe my lack of experience wasn’t the issue, since I told them I had none from the beginning. So I think their email was a nice way of telling me no. All in all everyone was wonderful, I enjoyed meeting everyone, and the tour was fantastic.
