I had an initial interview with a Talent Acquisition Associate, where I was told about the specific team I would be joining and the management team. Following this, there was a second interview with the two managers, which involved answering pretty typical questions about my experience, expectations, etc.

Question 1
Do you have any experience storyboarding/ creating a plan for an academic journal?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AAAS in Nov 2025
Interview
This interview process simple and easy. This was a second round interview where I met with the managing editor and a senior Editor. They asked me questions about my background, my skills, and why I wanted to be part of their team. The team was really nice and very knowledgeable about the roles and its duties

Question 1
Why are you looking to go into this type of position?
I applied online. I interviewed at AAAS (Washington, DC) in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied for the role in February 2021 and didn't hear back until April 2021. I was initially contacted by an HR representative for a phone screening. We discussed my salary requirements and some basic questions about the role. A day later I was contacted to set up a Zoom interview for the position with 2 of the managers. After the interview had concluded, I was told they would be talking to other candidates and that I would hear from them in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, I was sent an automated message within 24 hours from HR saying I had been rejected. The message did not even have a recruiter's name ("Insert Recruiter's Name Here" is what it said) and mentioned that they had moved on with a different candidate. Only an hour later I noticed that the job had been reposted on LinkedIn.
