Interview
Firstly one needs to apply at the ABB website, and upload CV and other documents.
A date will be announced for the online " technical exam" ( the exam will be branch/ stream specific) . Results to announced on the same day. If qualified candidate will move to the technical interview.
Technical interview will be conducted using video call. Duration is approximately 1hr, basic technical questions branch/ stream specific.
If qualified in technical interview, will be invited to the graduate assessment centre at ABB Bangalore.
Graduate assessment will consist of a HR interview , followed by a case study presentation and a group discussion.
Cumulative of all three is considered for selection of candidates.
The whole process takes about 3 month's.

Question 1
What happens to a transformer if supplied using DC voltage.
It was easy. Highly organized and responsive. Appreciate the ease of hiring. The interview was conducted in friendly environment. I was asked technical questions and was given time to respond and think.
Capacitor basics and generation, transmission, and distribution basic questions were asked
MOSFET. IGBT, SCR working and testing questions and the working of different types of DC and AC MOTORS were asked

Interview
Known as Graduate Assessment Center a mix of technical interviews and written exam, technical interview, Group Discussion and a personal interview. Interview happens in person in Bangalore for students from all over the country.
