I applied online. I interviewed at ABC Fitness in Aug 2024
Interview
Very lengthy with a presentation portion. In my first interview with them, I was told that they were worried I was too over-experienced for the role. When the presentation portion came, I was told I crushed it and they were inspired by my effort, only to be rejected for someone who in their words: "had more experience." Make it make sense. The funniest part is they reached out months later with an offer, which I accepted. When we had our offer call, they asked me for my expected salary, which I told them, same as I did in the first interview. Then they got flustered because it was more than they were willing to spend and said: "we're too far off, but we'll talk to management and reach back out." Fast forward, multiple follow-up emails weeks apart, only to be ghosted each time, finally to be sent an email one month later with the note: "Your application has been withdrawn as requested." Shady company, horrendous leadership, and overall highly unorganized. Strung me along for months in a volatile job market only to ghost me in the end. Misreable salary is $40,000 for this not-so-entry role.

very straight forward. Meeting with a department leader and then a 30-min mock QBRthat you need to put together. It was challenging but helps give you an idea of what you are getting into
