      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ABF Freight (Pittsburgh, PA) in May 2016

      Interview

Takes a long time. Simple basic questions. Everyone that I interviewed with was very easy to talk to. A willingness to move play a big part in the decision to hire. Had my first interview at my local ABF freight that i applied to, then traveled down to Pittsburgh to meet with the VP of Sales and the VP of operations.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ABF Freight in Sept 2024

      Interview

Process went quick. I applied and they immediately sent me a timed skilled / behavior test. Got notice next day they are interested. I was contacted via text about an in-person interview. Assuming this new thing? I thought it was scam at first. They ran a background check I didn’t even have interview yet and they were asking me about my previous jobs via text. First company I know that pretty much running your background check before you even have interview not worst thing. I guess they do vet there candidates well. Anyway, got contacted few days later. It was MS teams call with a Recruiter. Very nice recruiter. Interview went as well as it can possibly go. Aced the interview recruiter’s words not mine. Was told second interview coming in a few days. I get text the morning the position is filled? Not sure what was point of interviewing me and filling position the next day? Makes no sense. Kind of a waste of time preparing on my end and waste of time on recruiters end. I am assuming they had someone inhouse in mind which is fine. Just way they went about it was unprofessional. I am not mad about not getting the job more so annoyed at not getting a fair shot at the position. It seemed they just interviewed me and wasted my time to go through the process. For company who big on “quality “it was huge letdown. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here. You are not getting a fair shot. All you can really ask is for fair shot but if you’re not getting that it shows what type company this really is.
