It was over 5 rounds, first with HR, then the hiring manager, then the hiring manager's overseas contempary, then the VP of the department, the fifth round was supposed to be with the Director of the department, who would be under the VP, but that person hadn't even been hired yet. Poor planning for sure. It took months from initial contact to finally getting a rejection because they had hired an internal candidate, who I am pretty sure was already selected before this process ever started.
