I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL
Interview
The interview began with a HackerRank quiz asking question related to Digital Logic design and boolean algebra. Meeting the minimum requirements for which led to a phone screen interview of 30 minutes duration testing Verilog skills and Digital Logic design knowledge.
First is a 45 min online test. Including questions of verilog and SV, state machine, probabilities, math..There is only 13 questions though, from almost every subject. Failed with this test.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AKUNA CAPITAL (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2019
Interview
Probably the worst interview experience I have ever had. I applied online and after a few weeks got sent a HackerRank. After passing the HackerRank, I was sent a take-home test. Up to this point, the interview process was fine. However, afterwards I had a phone screen interview. It was during my finals period, so I requested for an extension. They said that they could not move it as they wanted to finish recruiting, which I thought was fine and fair enough. The interview itself was very useless. It was essentially a repeat of the take home. Furthermore, the guy who was interviewing me was the most disinterested person ever. I would be explaining my process as I wrote my code and whenever I asked for confirmation, he would just say that I should do whatever I felt was right. There was very little communiacation apart from that, so most of the time I was just talking to myself. The worst part was that the next day I received an email saying that they already filled up the spots, which meant they didn't even evaluate me. That especially annoyed me, as I had taken out so much time from my already hectic finals schedule to study and prepare for this interview, only to have it be a complete waste of time.
