I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AMR (Modesto, CA) in May 2014
Interview
First step was to apply online. About 4 weeks after applying I was contacted via email and invited to test for the position. Testing was about 3 hours, and ranged from written answer, map reading, and Multitasking to spelling and memory. Upon passing I received another email inviting me to the first of 2 interviews. The interview is a 3 person panel, and seems to be pretty scripted. General interview questions, I.e. Why do you want to work here? Tell us how you handled a problem with a Co worker, etc. Upon successful completionof the interview I received a phone call inviting me back for the final phase of the hiring process which is an interview with the director. That one you will have to find out for yourself. :)

Question 1
There wasn't one. Questions are what you would typically expect in an interview.
Two phone calls, one to screen and the other with the manager. Pretty easy, they mostly asked how I handled stress. I think each phone call was maybe 20 minutes each.

Interview
Not a good experience. The two women who interviewed me were so unfriendly, I was uncomfortable. Even the woman who opened to door for me to get in was so unfriendly; that was my first impression right there. Right when I walked in, I knew I didn’t want to work for them. One of the women interviewing me, didn’t even say hi when I walked in the room nor did she direct me on which out of the 7 chairs surrounding the table to sit in. Just bad vibes. In addition, when I was waiting to get called in, I can hear all the dispatchers making sarcastic jokes about how much “they love their jobs” knowing I was in for an interview. That is definitely NOT what you want to hear walking in to a place.
Overall, the people were not welcoming or friendly, and honestly it made it intimidating.

Question 1
For such a serious job they asked really dumb questions. “How would you fit a giraffe into a refrigerator?”

Interview
Straight to the point. Honest about company expectations and flaws. Friendly personalities and gave good insight as to what the field requires. After the interview I felt they were honest about how I did in the interview and feel confident that they will give me feedback soon enough.
