It was an oncampus opportunity, It was good overall, problems were intellectually challenging, I had a coding round and 2 interviews 1 one for Data Structures and Algorithms other for Experience about programming.

Interview mainly focussed on my coding style and if i could improve it mid interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at APT Research (New Delhi) in Nov 2024

interview process spanned for 5 rounds
1. Online Assessment - 5 Questions(2 coding with documentation+ 3 theory questions)
2. Online Round 1 - Coding round Focusing more on the smart pointers
3. Online Round 2 - Project discussion and mostly around the OS topics like atomics, cache coherence, process synchronisation
4. Online Round 3 - OS concepts more focused on thread local space and process local space and accessing of address spaces
5. HR Round - General Discussion about the role and my residence place, motivation to join

Question 1
Implement the smart pointer along with move, copy constructor, equal operators
Pretty bad process - they start with a 150 min coding test of 5 questions and insist on forcing you to turn your webcam on so they can monitor you while you do it. Absolutely not! I closed it and wouldn’t take part. I dread to think how they treat their employees if that’s how they treat applicants.
