I applied online. I interviewed at ASDA in Nov 2017
Interview
A group of other candidates and I sat around a table and in pairs, we had to find out some key facts about our partner and introduce them to the group. Staff running this session were welcoming and friendly. We filled in forms stating our availability and our preferred areas to work in i.e warehouse, shop floor, checkouts. We were then taken down to the shop floor and had a go at sorting the shelves, making sure the shelves were neat etc.
We were then invited for 1-1 interviews over the next few days.
Straightforward, few questions relating to background, schooling etc. Experience of working in teams, would I work hard. Did I drive? Was I interested in fork lift truck training - which would have got a better hourly rate.
first you do an online test consisting of 50-60 questions and if you make it into the in person interview it consists of 3 general questions relating to work and behaviours rather than specifically to Asda, such as:
“Q: Can you describe a time you’ve gone above and beyond for a customer?”
