I attended a group interview for the new Asics store opening. There was a lot of excitement at the start, among the candidates and myself included, but it was disappointing to see that energy fade as the session progressed. The interview lasted about two hours, which felt excessive for the icebreaker activities and team-based games involved. It became clear that the company had high expectations, seemingly looking for retail experts, which added some pressure. However, with the large number of candidates and a rushed atmosphere, the experience felt impersonal and less engaging than expected.
