I applied through university. I interviewed at AVAI Mobile Solutions (Austin, TX)
Interview
I met Jim in Career Fair who was a really nice guy to talk to that asked series of questions for my previous experiences.
About few days later, I got email for onsite interview.
Then met with four people for interview, and it was lot about my previous experiences and there were some technical questions. It was relaxed in a way, and I got to know each one of them little more through this.
Then I waited about a week for the answer, and they finally gave me an offer.

Question 1
name java object oriented principals (polymorphism, inheritance, encapsulation). override vs overload etc.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AVAI Mobile Solutions (Austin, TX) in Mar 2014
Interview
1. First is a Phone Interview (medium technical).
2. Next they had me take on online Reasoning Test (SAT type and logic problem questions).
3. Next was the practical coding test to create a web application project to fit a set requirements emailed to me. The resulting project was then zipped up and emailed back to them within 3 days.
4. Face 2 Face Interviews and presentation of your code project test to a group. (3 hour drive for me to get there from Houston).
The face 2 face interview in Austin was difficult. I guess that they were expecting a detailed presentation of the code for my project. They did not make it clear to me what they expected prior to the interview and of course came across as not having an organized presentation for them. The interviewers had very few questions to ask me and it seemed to me that they were not really interested in interviewing me at all. A waste of a trip for me...

Question 1
A book is available at a local store for $20 in the hard cover edition or $10 in paperback. The book can also be obtained from a mail-order service at 30% off list, plus $1 for postage and handling. How much more will it cost to buy the hard cover edition mail order than to but the paperback edition at the local store?
