My interview process with this company was one of the most frustrating I’ve experienced. They clearly just wanted to collect ideas from my presentation without any real intention of hiring me.
The first HR call was rescheduled just one minute before it was supposed to start, which set an unprofessional tone. During the call, we discussed my background and salary expectations, and I was invited to the next round without any clarification about whether my expectations fit their budget.
For the next stage, I was asked to create a 30-minute presentation outlining digital marketing strategies. I spent significant time preparing it. When I presented, the CEO joined from a moving vehicle. The connection kept dropping, and she disconnected completely right as I reached the final slide. I was then asked to repeat the presentation to another team member, causing the session to run about 1.5 hours — much longer than scheduled.
I was told I would hear back within a week. After receiving no update, I followed up and was informed that my salary expectations were above their range.
It was disappointing to go through multiple rounds and prepare a detailed presentation only to learn afterward that my expected salary didn’t match their budget. This could have been clarified much earlier. Combined with the technical issues and last-minute scheduling changes, the process felt disorganized and inconsiderate of candidates’ time.
Overall, this was a very negative experience, and I left with the impression that the interview process was poorly managed and not respectful of the effort required from applicants.
