After a email exchange with the recruiter, I only had a phone interview with the hiring manager who was the most unprofessional, unpleasant interviewee I’ve ever encountered. She called me 20 minutes late but I understand because things happen. She said “tell me about yourself” then asked if I had any research experiences from my current job. When I said no (you already have that information from my resume) she quickly lost interest and she made it painfully obvious. She said this is just to get the feel of people and when I asked her what the next step is, she told me to talk to HR and hung up. I was excited for the interview, spent time preparing for it and scheduled my patients around it, then it was a 5 minute phone call. If you only want candidates with research experiences, don’t schedule interviews with people who don’t, then waste their time. I was just gonna let it go and move on, then some recruiter from a third party agency just reached out to me about this same exact job thinking I would be a good candidate. Are you kidding?
