You receive an email from a recruiter, the recruiter schedules a time to call you and get more information. Then they schedule you some time with the hiring manager.
In my experience, the recruiter scheduled some time to call me. She gave me a time and ended up being 20 minutes late to our scheduled time. I didn’t like that. Then after talking to her, I had an interview meeting with the hiring manager. He didn’t ask anything about me and jumped in asking the most basic cyber questions you can find on a simple google search. It felt as if his goal was trying to interrogate me. I asked what do these questions have to do about the job itself?
He said things like“ these are the most basic questions”, “ this is a mid level job”, “ my team does everything “. Then said the goal of the position is for the candidate to be a security architect. I looked back at the job description, the questions he was asking, and what he was telling me. I was turned off and told him I wasn’t interested.
