I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Towson, MD) in Jun 2012
Interview
While browsing through the store one of the managers came up to me and said that she wanted me to work for her. She told me about the jobs that were open and the opportunities provided by the company. I then filled out an application right there in the store and was told to come back later that week for a group interview. The group interview consisted of myself and a few other potential employees sitting at a table in the food-court of the mall with two managers from the store. The managers took turns asking us a few predetermined questions which we individually answered. They took notes about what we answered, asked us if we had any questions, and that was the end. The people I saw working there seemed to be very nice and accommodating and the job seems to be flexible and laid back, but it only pays minimum wage. However according to what I was told if you have a college degree than the company tries to promote you often and there is room to move up in the company somewhat quickly.

Question 1
What are some of the characteristics people attribute to you, and what is the one characteristic that you think describes you the best?
One on one individual interview that encourages you to dress the part for the image of Abercrombie. Group interviews allow you share your thoughts while bouncing off of each others’ input.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Santa Barbara, CA)
Interview
A manager sat a group of us down outside the store somewhere within the mall. They asked specific questions about the Abercrombie style and brand. They didn't ask much about the candidates individually. This was many years ago, so I'm sure it's different now.

Small group interview in the mall round table questions. Easy, don’t copy the other answers that’s it. Hear back pretty quick. Overall great vibe would highly recommend it to college students
