I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Accountancy Action (Datchworth, England) in Dec 2024
Interview
The MD sounds very nice on the phone and I was asked for an interview. I attended the interview and the MD turned out to be extremely rude and arrogant and I was made to feel uncomfortable and looked down on. His whole manner was awful and he has a very poor interviewing process in which he must get a kick out of making young girls feel humiliated and very small. I cried when I left this interview and he has knocked my confidence and made me feel like I am not good enough for anything. He tries to catch you out by putting you on the spot and knocking your confidence and then smirks at you while you're trying to sell yourself.

Question 1
How do I know you that you are going to do that though?
Thank you for your review of our business and the interview style of our MD. I am sorry that his style made you feel humiliated and "very small" and I am sure this wasn't his intention.
Recruitment is a very tough industry. Trainees will take knock backs from both candidates and clients and need to be able to show resilience. Often we try to find a way to discover this during the interview process and perhaps this is what Marc was doing.
We are sorry you found the experience overwhelming and we wish you the very best in your search for a new role.
Interviewer was very rude. I think part of it was a test to see how you’d act in difficult situations but they crossed the professional boundary and I really dodged a bullet by not working there.

Question 1
Asked about hobbies on CV and nothing really to do with the role.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Accountancy Action (London, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
I applied online and received a phone call the following day inviting me to interview the next week. The MD was rude, barely acknowledged anything that I had to say and dismissed me after only ten minutes after interrupting me constantly and undermining my answers.
