I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Action (Zwaagdijk-Oost) in Jun 2026
Interview
The process started reasonably well but quickly revealed major red flags regarding the company culture and HR professionalism. I had a single 40-minute interview. Despite my extensive track record and data-driven approach, I was rejected based on a highly subjective lack of a 'cultural fit' or 'click'. When I formally requested factual, constructive feedback, the recruiter promised to call me back but completely ghosted me for over two weeks. Furthermore, it became apparent that the hiring manager has close family members (his wife and brother) working within his direct department. This creates a closed environment where objective hiring and transparent processes seem impossible. I am glad I dodged this bullet and accepted an offer elsewhere.

Question 1
They asked a mix of behavioral and highly inappropriate personal questions: 'How do you handle an open culture?', 'How do you work with people that are not really social?', and 'Where are your roots from?
