I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Action for the Climate Emergency in May 2025
Interview
Very poor interview process. In my initial interview they were late. I wasn't notified initially that it would be a panel interview, during the interview each took turns to ask questions. I noticed at the end, one of the lady interviewed refused to answer any of my questions and looked very smug. Very rude. Then they decided to take 2 plus weeks to get back to me about an update to my application. They claimed it was because they went on a company retreat.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Action for the Climate Emergency (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2024
Interview
One initial phone "chat" (ie informal interview with one person), which was about 15 minutes long). Then about a week after that a more formal interview with two people (about 45 minutes), and finally a third interview a week after that with an additional person (about an hour).
HR Manager/recruiter was very communicative and easy to reach, I greatly appreciated not being ghosted even though I didn't get an offer.
During the last interview one staff member was 15 minutes late, and was rather rude and curt during the whole process. I also got the sense that some people who interviewed me had not reviewed my resume or application at all. It was a poor reflection, but overall I still had a positive interview experience.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked many specific questions about digital advertising campaigns, spreadsheets, advertising to target audiences, timelines, content. Asked about projects that didn't go according to plan, top 3 things I look for in a job, and how I collaborate with different people.
Very structured, pre-written interview questions that seemed to be looking for one particular answer.
