As others have mentioned, I went through a few initial calls with the Talent team at Acumatica which went very well from my point of view. My background and skillset were a very strong match for the role we were speaking about. As part of the process, I was told I needed to take both behavioral and cognitive assessments in order to move into the next step of the process, which I took the time to complete. On my next call with the talent coordinator, she told me that I did very well on the assessments, but couldn't divulge anything more specific than that, which I understand. On that call, she came to call very scattered and even mentioned a few times that she was unprepared due to having so many calls back to back. I also found it strange that she couldn't recall anything we spoke about in our prior call so I had to bring her up to speed which felt odd.
The next step as told by the coordinator was that she was going to share my info with the hiring manager. She said she'd follow up with me by end of the week or sooner if the hiring manager responds quickly. The next stage was to be a direct conversation with the HM. This was about a month and a half ago.
I never received any word back from the recruiter, never had any reach out by the hiring manager, never even got a single reply to the 3 follow up and check in emails I sent to the recruiter after our calls simply trying to understand timing for those next steps. My most recent email was simply "Is Acumatica even still looking to fill this role"? I have got no feedback, no reply, no next step, not even an email saying we are running slow, please bear with us...I have been completely ghosted. At this point I still have no idea if the role is even being filled, whether I am in the mix, or it is DOA.
As a senior, tenured SaaS leader, this speaks volumes to me if this is how the very first interactions I have with Acumatica are conducted. My time and energy are valuable assets. I expect to get the attention from the talent team that I have given in preparation and execution during this cycle. This is not how you attract top talent, especially for senior roles.
