I applied for the Writer/Coordinator position. They first have you send a resume and cover letter on their website. Their third-party servers that they use in HR are not that great-stay vigilant to things like emails getting sent to your spam box or docs taking a long time to upload. If your resume gets picked up, they'll send you a writing task to complete involving simple stats calculations. It's not too tricky, but you will need to allocate a few hours to it. It's a pretty good replication of what you'll do at Acumen, incidentally. The next step was an in-person interview. They first set you in a room to complete a test for about an hour-it's basically like the math section of a standardized test. You'll next interview with a few staff members of the organization. The main thing you'll get asked about is your project experience, since project-based teamwork is the core of Acumen's work. Most of my interviewers asked follow up questions about the project I talked about-how did I frame it, what data did I use, etc. Not the most exciting interview process, but by far the most straightforward-no gimmicks or surprises. I got an offer about 3 weeks later, which I accepted.

Phone Screen Interview The first round was a phone screening conducted by a recruiter. This conversation focused on my background, relevant experience, and understanding of the role. In-Person Interview The second round was an in-person interview with the hiring manager and potentially a team member. This round went deeper into my technical expertise and practical experience. I was asked to walk through specific projects, explain my decision-making process, and demonstrate how I approach real-world challenges.
