I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Adaptiva
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me, The initial interview was pretty pro-forma - her questions were laser focused on my national status and if I was ok with a 100% in office schedule. I was then sent a code assessment, which she at least had the grace to apologize for. The assessment itself was in the medium-hard range, and as usual for these had nothing to do with real engineering. After she sent it, there was a very narrow window in which I could do it, so I had to do it on Christmas morning. There was no reason given as to why this tight timeline existed over a holiday weekend.
I was told after submission there would be follow ups. Instead, I was ghosted. She did not respond on either of the platforms she had communicated with me on. No updates, no responses, not even an acknowledgement that the results were received. Very unprofessional, and a clear indicator of what working for this company is like, so useful signal I suppose.
Looking at other reviews, this is standard operating procedure here. This company will waste hours of your time in interviews and code assessments, then drop you without even the dignity of a "we won't be moving forward".
Don't waste your time, clearly they do not respect the time and efforts of others.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions about immigration status and if I am ok with being in the office 5 days a week,
Poorly orchestrated; the HR person(s) responsible for listing the position and performing phone screening for it didn't include the requirements and skills they most require in the job postings or mention them during the screening. On top of that they ask for a customized resume that follows a very specific format with content laid out in a very particular way because a certain principle there requires this. PLEASE - coordinate and think about what you're doing so you don't waste your and candidates time. If there's a type of experience you very much require, and only a fairly small subset of IT professionals possess it - list it in the job posting.

Question 1
Describe your experience with Microsoft Purview and using it to prepare for ISO or other audits.
Had a call with a recruiter before being passed onto the hiring manager. I was told "I think you're perfect, what's your availability this week?" After a couple emails about the role, she confirmed my availability then ghosted me. I tried to reach out to her 5 times. They ghost.
