- The first stage was the screening interview with two technical members of a team. This role is basically for the team that is part acquisition between eCG and Adevinta.
- This call was focused more on how the candidate could potentially be a cultural fit for the company. As far as I understood correctly, the company's culture is based more on people that bring soft skills rather than technically skilled individuals. After thoroughly presenting the company and what they do, I got a chance to introduce myself and my technical background since the two members are technically skilled. The other part of the interview was about my soft skills and questions related to them.
- The next stage of the selection was supposed to be a technical interview where we would go deeper into the technical-oriented questions. I was said to get feedback by one day.
- Finally, they decided not to move forward with my application as they were "looking for more technical experience". This was quite the opposite of what I've heard in the interview during which I was told that the "cultural fit" is more important than the technical experience. I spent more than 1 hour for this interview and received a generic email that is completely contradictory to what the company represents. Also, they were not able to provide any relevant information regarding my rejection despite sending them a follow-up email.
