Received a phone call to do a quick phone screen. The recruiter was extremely nice and was very open when I asked questions. In hindsight, I should have asked more to get a better idea of the company culture.
Received a follow-up email for a second interview via Zoom. Interviewed with two people. It looked like they were in the office. They asked me series of open ended questions about my experience then at the end they asked if I would be okay with being in the office since the role requires it.
The interview ended when I told them I wouldn't be open to that since I'm currently working remote. They apologized for not letting me know up front and wasting my time.
I thought it was weird that they did not disclose that on their job posting or mentioned in the initial phone call. It was presented to me as a remote position when I applied.
The company has a lot of bad reviews which should have been a red flag 🚩
