While on the surface the company seems quite buttoned up, it actually took 8 people (including an SVP) across six separate interviews and one case study to decide they didn't want to move forward with me based on a learnable skill I learned in college and taught in previous workplaces.
It seemed unnecessarily lengthy and involved for a non-C-Suite, non-managerial position. Ultimately, I left feeling disappointed and blindsided due to the time and investment made across several months during the holiday season.
As someone who has coached and designed hiring processes it didn't seem the company was living up to its formula of Talk Straight without Being Rude. In the end, I wish they were straightforward and had not strung me along for so long including having to wait through Christmas and New Year's for the final decision.
