I applied online. I interviewed at Adyen in Oct 2024
Interview
Connected via LinkedIn, whole process took more than a month to conduct a single round of interview. (total 6 weeks - 2+3+1)
After the initial HR call, took 2 week to provide the assignment which has to be completed with-in 2days. Later the submission 3 weeks to get back with an update to schedule the 1st round of interview for next week.
What was expect as per hr notification: You will be asked in-depth questions about your skills and the projects you have worked on using STAR to explain in detail.
What actually happened: Assignment review for 1.5hr with multiple test cases and in-detailed explanation of why and what can be done alternatively and outliners, at the point where I almost forgot what the assignment was! due to the delay in process.
After another week got back with an update with a reject.

first step is a call with HR to align on experience and expectations, then an online coding assessment on Hackerrank of which I believe you need to answer everything perfectly to go to the next step

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Adyen in Feb 2026
Interview
Initial step was a 30 min screening call with someone from HR. They were very friendly. First time I didn't pass a screening call in years, make sure to study the 8 company values on their website beforehand.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Adyen (Madrid) in Nov 2025
Interview
Madrid: good technical process, but POOR communication and lack of closure after final interview
Pros:
* The recruitment process is technically good and well-structured in its early stages.
* The initial assessment consisted of a HackerRank technical evaluation with a programming exercise focused on performance, object-oriented design, and three SQL questions, which felt relevant and fair.
* This was followed by a technical interview discussing the assessment results and deeper system/design topics.
* I also had a hiring manager interview and a technical leadership interview, both of which were professional and engaging.
* Throughout most of the process, the recruiter was very responsive, usually replying within 48 hours.
Cons:
* After completing the final interview, communication abruptly stopped;
* I attempted multiple follow-ups via email and phone without receiving any response.
* Only after reaching out to one of the technical leaders I had interviewed with did the recruiter reply, stating she would call — but that call never happened, and communication stopped again.
* The lack of closure after reaching the final stage felt unprofessional and inconsistent with Adyen’s publicly stated values around transparency, ownership, and respect.
