I was shown absolutely no respect by Aerotek. After my phone screen, I was invited to come into the office. The district manager begins the interview by saying "I've interviewed a lot of people. No one has blown me away. So, that's not good for you, and that's not good for anyone else." At which point, I was like okay, that's kind of a strange thing to say. Later in the interview, he said "I looked at your resume before I came in, and nothing jumps out at me. Its just eh." I don't understand why they would have me come in if nothing indicated that I could do the job (side note, I do not have much experience. However, I had EVERYTHING that was mentioned on the job listing. I'm not sure why the job listing didn't say you needed years of recruiting experience if that is what they are actually looking for). At the end of the interview, he said "look, I know that you could do the job. If that is all it was about, I would offer you the job right now. But, I have to have someone that fits into the culture." Wait, what? Then he told me that the recruiter that I was working with was out for the day, but to email next week and ask her what is going on. So, I emailed her, and didn't receive a response for 5 days. Aerotek needs to either intensify their phone screens, or add more experience to their job listings.
