Interview
Everybody was nice and thoughtful, with an easy and straightforward process. However, I felt like they were ready to give me the job without having asked me much at all about my experience.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Agency Creative (Dallas, TX) in May 2018
Interview
Exchanged emails with current CD. Had multiple rounds of emails until the interview date was set. Interviewed by salient CD and CEO. CD expressed I was his top candidate, then said he was just starting to interview (?) CEO left the room in the middle of the interview saying he wanted me back the following week to continue and to meet more management people. I followed up several times and never got a response to my emails. The job was reposted several times during the following months and my attempts to reach the CEO were always ignored.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked several questions about my background and expertise and I showed my portfolio. No specific questions were asked.

Interview
The interview process took over two months, which is longer than the average interview process by a longshot, but it was over the Christmas holiday so it is understandable. This company has no HR department so my interview was coordinated by another AC. I went through several rounds and heard nothing but positive feedback until the final interview, a corporate presentation. Even after this presentation I received positive feedback and met upper management.
This is when I knew the company would never be a good fit personally. They would not let me bring a flash drive of my presentation or my own personal laptop with the presentation, I had to email it to their personal asset email. Despite trademarking the presentation as my own intellectual property, this seemed very odd and unusual that they needed to have their own personal copy of my work. I question if I ever was seriously interviewed or if I was merely interviewed to grow their company's assets.
Additionally, the upper management that attended the interview and presentation asked me typical interview questions and then ventured into questions like "Do you smoke weed?" which is not appropriate whatsoever. I was very uncomfortable.
As a serious job candidate in the advertising industry, I did not appreciate my time being wasted, but they clearly did not care. Do not waste your time being disrespected here.
We should have responded to this review prior to now and our apologies for this being missed. However, due to your presentation would be to several in the conference room, I suspect that is why you were asked to send it to the assets email so it could be displayed on a big screen for all to view. Whereas a laptop would not be the best choice to present. We certainly don't need anyone's presentation for our portfolio and we do pride ourselves on integrity. Best wishes!
