First round interview was an online video on-demand interview where you have to record yourself responding to questions shown on-screen. This did give you 2 attempts at recording your answer to each question, and were mostly standard type of questions around what you know about Airbus and your background/experience to date.
Second round interview was a video interview with a member of the recruitment team and a peer manager of the hiring manager (the HM was on holiday on the date that the interview was arranged - so why they didn't re-arrange for when he was available I don't understand).
This interview was difficult, a lot more technical in nature and focus. Asked if I had experience in a number of particular systems and technologies, none of which were even mentioned in the job description. During the interview, it also was discussed that Airbus operated a 3 days in the office per week policy, and the team you would be joining are split between Portsmouth and Stevenage locations, despite Farnborough and Newport also being listed on the job description as possible locations. The interviewer queried as to how I would manage this logistically, and that the Farnborough office (which is geographically closest to me) would have none of the team in it. Clarity on the location expectations should be upfront in the Airbus job description, and I was disappointed that it was not clearer on this as I probably wouldn't have applied for the role.
I spent many hours on this application process and the necessary preparations for two rounds of interview, and have since been GHOSTED by Airbus recruitment for nearly 3 months despite asking twice for feedback.
My application is still open on their system, and I see the job posting is still being advertised so clearly not been filled.
Avoid!
