I had two interviews with senior leadership. I was then asked to prepare and present a full GTM presentation for one of their new products. The request was three pages in length. After submitting the GTM presentation, I was to be "invited" to their office to present the plan to leadership and and answer questions. All without compensation or a job offer. I decided not to participate in this as it is not appropriate for a company to assign a task that solely benefits them without offering you a job, particularly during a job search or interview process. Doing so can be seen as exploiting your time and skills without offering you a legitimate opportunity. This request demonstrates a lack of respect, the potential for exploitation, and raises serious ethical concerns.
