Submitted an online application & received a call inviting to interview. Following interview, was required to submit an online skills assessment & come in to meet team, references were also checked & I received offer.

Two rounds of interview, first with hiring manager and second meet the team. Did an assignment after the first interview which took quite some time—suspected free labour for the company. In the end received oral offer and background check stage revealed absolutely ridiculous hiring practise— what kind of company demands a performance review/management reference from the successful candidate’s current employer??? Refused to give and offer rescinded the next day. Dodged a bullet!
